Safety and security mirrors are used to prevent retail theft in sales areas that are beyond line-of-sight. Such observation mirrors are of invaluable help to store security officers as it becomes possible to deter shoplifters more effectively.
Retail store shelves in reality are situated parallel to each other, and so security officer can monitor only the very aisle where he is at the moment.
Dome security mirrors that are installed above shelves extend surveillance coverage and allow a 180-degree view which is perfect for hallways with "T" intersections.
Observation mirrors expand guarding making it possible for security officer to take a look around the corner and to watch certain events. The same mirrors provide invaluable assistance to cashiers because with their help it becomes much more likely to detect theft of goods carried underneath a checkout counter.
Operating principle:
Observation mirrors are installed in sales areas expanding surveillance coverage of protected facilities for security officers. The size of such security mirrors is adjusted on a case-by-case basis. However, there is a general rule: The more the size of security mirror is, the better monitoring it can provide.

90. degree semi-hemispherical mirrors are ideal for "L"-shaped corridors and lanes. The 90° semi-hemisphere allows superb viewing around blind corners to prevent costly and dangerous collisions between employees and equipment moving throughout the facility. When flush-mounted, the 90° semi-hemisphere fits perfectly into a corner. Moreover, such security mirrors can be also mounted at checkout counters for further safety.
Standard size of observation mirrors: 30, 40, 50 and 60 cm.
Such types of security mirrors are screw- mounted to walls. |

Dome and Half Dome Security Mirrors:
Half dome (180. degree semi-hemispherical) mirrors are mounted above store shelves and serve for expanding surveillance coverage at 3-way "T"-intersections, whether approaching from the center, right or left.
Dome (360. degree hemispherical) mirrors are mounted directly into the ceiling above a certain store self. Properly positioned and suspended from the ceiling, these mirrors allow to see around every blind corner, providing a view of an entire area and allowing in-plant vehicles and/or personnel traffic to move safely throughout the facility.
To see objects and individuals in details, it is recommended to mount such mirrors at the height of up to 2.5 m.
Typical size include: 60, 80 and 120 cm diameter mirrors.
Half dome security mirrors are mounted easily on the ceiling with screws.
